Oh well. Just because I’m not driving doesn’t mean I can’t have quality thinking and me time. Plus once I finish working for the day, I can tackle organization projects at home (my craft area turned into a disaster area post-Christmas crafting) and hit up Zumba (have I mentioned I got Lindsay hooked on it, too?!). That’s got to be better than worrying my parents for 7+ hours, right?
Speaking of Miss Lindsay, I’m pretty sure she found a way more eloquent way of describing my/our sentiments for the new year with her word. She also brought up another aspect of resolutions that I realized my word helps me avoid — the all or nothing mentality. That tends to be how I look at things (particularly given my Excel document that shows what percentage of my mileage goal I’ve completed…), and I know it prevents me from celebrating even little successes. It’s time to start embracing the semi-successes or even failures.
I also love that both L’s have an inspirational “e” word for the year. I’m telling you, more often than not, this lady is (quite literally) my other half.
I’ve got a great feeling about 2013. Although 2012 is certainly shaking things up…
