While technically it’s by singing loud for all to hear (Elf’s one of my favorite Christmas movies by far), I’ve also found that crafting and holiday gatherings spread Christmas cheer like you wouldn’t believe. Although I had to work nearly 9 hours for my side job this weekend (not that I’m bitter or anything…), I also spent lots of time enjoying the company of others. That’s my kind of weekend.
Before I jump into the main purpose of the post, I do have to give a shout out to The Modern Parsonage. I’ve been following all the renovations and DIY projects on her blog and got to see the house on Saturday night for her annual Christmas party. A-mazing! It makes me want to be even more crafty, although it’s slightly harder when you rent an apartment.
I am getting better at crafting, though. In fact, another pinterest inspiration of mine became a reality! Friday night I busted out my glue gun (which is quickly becoming one of my favorite crafting tools) and made a Christmas present for a friend of mine. She’s a preschool teacher, and when I spotted this on pinterest I thought it would be the perfect gift for her. I was actually really impressed with how it turned out, and thankfully she loved it, too!
I crafted another Christmas gift this weekend that I think turned out adorably, but I have to wait until the recipient gets it before I can post a photo. I will say that I’m going to be a pro with a glue gun before I know it! Now to scour for my next project…
