Time to start fresh

I’m done with traveling for the next three weeks!

Thankfully this last travel adventure led me to a New Kids on the Block / Backstreet Boys concert last night with the middle sister, her roommate and my roommate. Words can’t even describe how awesome it was! When I was a teen I got to see N*Sync and 98 Degrees in concert, but I was always bummed I never got to see BSB since they were my favorite. This concert was well worth the wait.

I think all four of us were surprised at how quickly all the song lyrics came back. A good time was definitely had by all, plus I got to see the middle sis (on right). You can’t beat that!

Now it’s back to reality. Without any travel plans for the next three weeks, it’s time to get my health back on track. So what was literally my first stop after returning to Columbia? The gym. My membership is reactivated and I’m all set. My gym bag for tomorrow is already packed, so no excuses.

My second stop this afternoon? The grocery store. I stocked up on fresh fruits, salad and healthy snacks for work. There’s so much color when you open my refrigerator now! No more rich restaurant foods or convenience store snacks. I’m definitely ready for a fresh start.

  1. Liz — I love this!! Keep up the fabulous work! I started using this target when I go grocery shopping: http://www.absorbtraining.com/courses/clients/25/WellnessTraining1/module2/foodTarget.pdf It’s not perfect, but makes so much sense!

Oh, idea! I think you should definitely share any fabulous, healthy recipes you come across! Always looking for new meal ideas that are healthy, quick, don’t have too many ingredients or dirty many dishes, leave leftovers to pack for lunch the next day, and fit into a tight budget 🙂 Yay! — Heidi
