It was hard to convince myself to get out on Friday. I won’t lie – I only did a quick walk (less than a quarter of a mile…) to make sure I got some physical activity logged.
When I finally got back home after four nights of traveling, I had two hours before my evening plans were to begin. Instead of getting in a quality workout and shower, which I probably could have done, I opted to unpack, start laundry and finally go grocery shopping. Not my finest hour, but I tell you what, it was so nice to wake up to clean clothes and actual food in my refrigerator.
While my job (I made it through the first week!!) does require quite a bit of travel, I was assured I likely wouldn’t have a long stretch like that again. Thank goodness. It’s more tiring than I thought and definitely throws off my health habits. I miss my bed, home-cooked meals and being able to workout outside without being right next to an interstate.
It’s good to be home.
